15 days and the assassin

      In 15 days it is Salt Lake Comic Con Fan X, oh it is going to be great.  On the Saturday I will cosplaying David Jones, my guy from the Solomon Kane game that I play in. 
      Sunday night I worked on the Final Dream.  I am in the middle of room six, I am placing an NPC assassin in this room.  Her name is Chantel Jones, the door as two traps on it both do strength damage.
      Last night I worked on Escape from Cyclops Island.  I got one room done and tonight I will finish two more rooms, the room I am working on now has a fresh water spring, but the spring is full of trash.  If the players search in the spring they will find a sword.  While it is short but there it is so until next time Keep Gaming.

This week in Gaming #8

      While it is that time again, an other week has come and gone.  There was no gaming this week.  However I worked on the Neverwinter game and the Final Dream.  For the Neverwinter game I have finished the list of artifacts that I am using for the game.  Next I will be working on the House of Knowledge, The Final Dream game I got rooms 2-5 done.
      This week I will be working on Neverwinter on Thursday, then every other day I will be working on the Final Dream.  I am going to be putting in on Lulu.com to sell it. while it is time to put kids to bed so until next time Keep Gaming

This Week in Gaming 7

      An other week has come and gone.  It was not a productive as I wanted it to be, but there is always this week.  I got two podcast posted you can find them on Itunes it is called Theswamppitw's podcast. 
      Monday-Wendnesday: I will be working on writing my book these days.  Right now I am writing about a Castles and Crusades game that I played in.  I am hoping that I will be able to buy the adventures that we played in.  I found one of them on ebay it is the Desert of Deslotion. 
      Thursday:  I will be working on Neverwinter, the hero's went to the wizards Andru and are not looking for artifacts.  I think that are trying to find the Axe of the Dwarvish Lords.  I have decided that I am not going to use the artifacts and weapons so I am just going to finish the list and we will see what the player do with them and then I will make the changes that are needed.  I will write to story lines this week, one for the Many Arrows Orc tribe and one for the House of Knowledge.
      Friday:  This day I will be working on the Final Dream.  There is much to be done this day.
      Saturday:  For the night game I will be running a special C&C game for some guys at work.  So until next time Keep Gaming.

Two for One

      Last night I did not work on Neverwinter, my wife was watching some show about a lady that listens to the dead.  So day I will be working on Neverwinter when I am done with this blog and to night after work I will be working on the Final Dream.
      There is not going to be a S&S game this weekend so we will do the podcast in the morning.  that can be found on Itunes under theswamppitw's podcast, if you want to check that out.  We are getting a new team member for the magic game, and I hope to be adding one more to magic and Neverwinter.

This Week in Gaming #6

      While it is time to start a new week.  I last part of chapter one of my book so I am going to start that one over again, but first I am going to write my gaming book.  So I am going to be sticking to the same plan as the other book.
      I played Candy Land with the kids the other day, I was winning until I got the Ice Cream and had to go back.  My little girl won.  I don't know if I like have in a spinner, when I was a kid the board was three times bigger and you had to draw a card to move.  Alot of games have been changed to go faster. Clue has clock cards that no matter who draws them when there are three or five clock's the game is over.  Risk has had turn limits for a while now, but Plant's and Zombies is only a two player game and that makes scene but when we played when did not one time turn in for more troops.
      I stated playing a RPG South Park the Stick of Truth.  That is a fun game I am playing a black Jew with a Pink Fro.  Some time I will buy it but for now I will just play it when I am at Casey's house.
      So let's get back in to the week of gaming.  Thursday I will be doing more work on the Artifacts for Neverwinter, they will be playing on Saturday, so I should get more stuff done.
      Friday is The Final Dream, I told you the other day that when I worked on it last I wanted to get five rooms done. While I only got one room done, and started working on the second.  I have decided that every time I work on a room, there is a 10% chance that there will be a monster in the room.
      Saturday Will be a very busy day.  In the morning Motard will strike again, and that night we will be doing a Magic Podcast and the Neverwinter podcast.  That will be what I try to make of my week, so until next time Keep Gaming.

Hot Dogs and Games

      Last night I was not able to work on Neverwinter as much as I wanted to, but this time it is a good thing.  I was able to find on artifact to add to the list, I will be writing about it in the Neveragain blog. 
      Tonight I will be working on the Final Dream,  I will be adding monsters and detail to the rooms, I am hoping to get five to six rooms done.  If I get more that would be great, but I am not looking for less.
      Now I have to go and get some Hot Dogs for lunch then it is time to sit down and play some Candy Land with the kids.  So until next time Keep Gaming.

It's Game Time

      While after a bad week of trying to write my book.  It is once again to work on the Neverwinter game, I will be working on the artifacts.  I will be going through the Second  edition Book of Artifacts.

#100 it is here

      This weekend has been good to me.   We will start with Saturday.  It was the Castles and Crusades game.  We went to SLC to play because one of the players leaves in North Utah so we meet him half way.  I will be writing about the game in the Northern Clan, or I might have to write an new blog for it because there is a new S&S that I will be playing in starting Next Saturday.
      I was able to get the Podcast up for the Castles and Crusades game.  That is not the only thing that I have done today.  I got a new article up on the website www.theswamppit.com, I will also have this blog and the Northern Clan.
      I was also able to do some painting.  I also started making my list of the paints I need.  I am almost done with the Storm giant, I just need a new gold paint.  I also got to thinking about running Against the Giants again and I will be playing more mini's for that.  I am going to paint some of them for the Alice in Wonder land that might work good if I do it in the C&C game.  I am going to also paint some like that Avengers.

Next Time Comes 100

      On Wednesday I worked on B1 In Search of The Unknown, for my Castles and Crusades game.  Today I will be working on The Final Dream game. 
      I have to finish drawing the second level, and then I can start detailing the rooms.  I am hoping that I can start doing that tonight.   I am still not sure what kind of monsters that I am going to be putting into the rooms.
      I have decided that until my book is done, I am only going to work on the Neverwinter game, the Castles and Crusades game and the Final Dream.  The will give me two days to work on the Podcast games and my first edition game, and then the rest of the week I can work on getting the book done and then shipped out.  While this one is short today but until next time Keep Gaming.

0-8

      In the last eight magic games I have played I have lost all of them.  Five of them are for the podcast, and the means I am so far not winning the Tournament of champions.  We will get back to that in a week from Saturday.  The other three loses came last night at a friends house.
       The first game I play my Minotaur deck.  It was clear after turn two that the vampires were going to win the game so not being about to get any thing out with out it dieing the next turn and not having any thing to play I decided I was going to help the Vampires win by boosting them up when they attacked.
      The second game, I played my Theros Human deck.  I was starting to get some where when one of the players used a spell to get raid of all creatures on the battle filled and even though I could still make tokens I could not make that fast enough.  The last and final game I used my Theros Human deck again and there was no way I was going to win, i was only able to draw one creature, and red mana.
      I made changes to both the Minotaur and the Human deck.   The more I think about it I am only going to tell you the cards I add and not go through the whole list again.  so for the Minotaur deck, Blaze Commando.  The Human deck I can't find the card, but you can tap x creatures where x is your devotion to white.
      I have decided that I am going to make a mono green deck from the two set that are out, and I might change it when the last set comes out, or just build some thing else. so here are the cards on my list.

This week in Gaming #5

      It is Sunday again so here we go.  I am hoping to get some painting done, if I do I will be working on the storm giant.  it is taking a long time but I have got to the point that I am just working on them one at a time.  So we will start there and then I will to the female cloud giant.  I need to learn how to make something like it is covered in ice before I do the frost giants.
      Yesterday Casey and I did a podcast at a Anime Banzai party.  Because I had to post pic's and podcast I did not work on the book.  So now I have three days this week to do so.  I don't have to work tomorrow so i am hoping that I can double up and get more work done.
      Wednesday: this week I will be working on the Castles and Crusades game, we are going to be playing that on Saturday.  I will be working on B1 In search of the Unknow,  I had done some stuff for my D&D game but never played it, so now I will be writing for castles and crusades.
      Thursday: I am behind on writing for Escape from Cyclops Island, I did not work on it last week, my brother-in law asked me to go play basketball with him so I did.  This week I will be working on Thursday so when I get home I can work on it for an hour or two. 
      Friday, when I went to work on the Final Dream I did not like the way the the level looked so I started redrawing it.  I have done 35 rooms and there is still more to draw before I can put the monsters in.  I don't work on Friday so I might go to the game store and get more work on it done, if I could finish mapping and then get some detail on the rooms done that would be great.  While I think that is it so until next time Keep Gaming.

Welcome to WonderLand

      Tonight I will be working on The Final Dream.  But before I get in to that lets start taking about the up coming Salt Lake Comic Con FanX.
      Today in the mail my daughter got her Alice in Wonderland costume.  She has been wearing it all day.  We also had to go and get some thing for my wife to make her Queen of Hearts costume.  She will also be making the Hare, a Card and my Mad Hatter costumes.
      Now Lets get to some Dungeons and Dragons.  I will be placing the monsters in level two.  I don't know what monsters I am going to us yet, I might just look through the books and see what look goods, most likely some goblins and orc's and any thing ugly.
       I also have to do the room of Jack and Jill, This is one of the the rooms that has the most magic in it.  Jill's stuff is still here.  weapons and armor and all kids of stuff.  I think that because there is so much stuff in this room there should be a big boss type.  I don't want to put a dragon in here because I might but one in the king's chamber.

A Wizards name and a New City.

      Today we work on Neveragain.  I have got the name of the wizard that is collecting artifacts so I have to change his name.  I also will be working on a list of things that the players are going to be getting.  I think that I will do xp for quest lines aside from the monsters that they will fight.
      The other day I was thinking about the Castles and Crusades game that I am working on, and I have decided that the adventure I will be writing is going to be called The Lost City of Alice.  I think it is going to be adventure about cats.
      Now I need to email Tabletop Con about writing an adventure for the con, so until next time Keep Gaming.

Cosplaying Day

      Today the kids and I are taking the Wife to find things for our costumes at FanX.  We are going to go to Party Land and Michael's and Uncle Sam's Army store.
      We are looking for one black coat for my Solomon Kane costume.  We also need some top hats for the Mad Hatter and the Rabbit for the Alice in Wonderland party that we are going to do.
     I think that is going to be a lot of fun.  we are going to get a tea set and have a tea-party and sing to help that it is a very merry un-birthday.
      The vampire costume only needs a wig and some teeth, I am getting those from Taylor Maid, and those I will get when we get closer to the con, so even thought this was not a gaming post until next time Keep Gaming.

This week in Gaming #4

      While it is that time again.  Nothing has change in the book front so we will just jump right ahead to Wednesday in just a Min.  First we did not go play board games last night with the kids.  We spent about 2 and a half hours at the Safe Kids Fair, and when we got home the kids needed to sleep.  So I will need to play games with them some time this week.
      Wednesday:  While I will be working on Neverwinter, I think I will be working on a list of Artifacts the the players will find.  There is a chess set some where that I would like to find but I think I am going to have to write my own version.  I might use some in the book and others that are old school and use The Book of Artifacts.  I should also come up with something for the House of Knowledge just in case they go that way.
      Thursday: Escape from Cyclops Island, I think all the little stuff will be done this week.  I don't have any more monsters in the cave but I need to get the Hero's armor and weapons to they can handle the Cyclops.  I am not going to give them super weapons a club here and there a trident and things like that.
      Friday: The Final Dream Just getting on the details in to the rooms on level two.  I hope to get five rooms done every time I work on it, that is a good goal.
      Side Note:  Next Sunday I will do a Northern Clan for Motard the Backbreaker my DM wants to play so we will play.  So until next time Keep Gaming.

Rat's and Dreams and Games

      While I got the rats put in to the storage room in my Escape from Cyclops Island.  I did not make the rats dire.  I think that might be a little to much for a group of hero's so they are just normal rats.  The problem is that normal don't give you as much exp. 
      I am not sure if I will work on the Final Dream tonight.  Tomorrow I am taking my kids to a fair for the day, and I think we have to get up early to do that.
      Tomorrow night we are going to be playing board games.  We will play some Candy Land and maybe some Sorry and who knows what more we will play that will be up to the kids.  While that is it for today so until next time Keep Gaming.

Games and Neverwinter

      Last night I worked on the Neverwinter game, I will tell you more about that in the Neverwinter blog.  Tonight I will be working on Escape from Cyclops Island.  I think the party should be able to take out four dire rats.  I might make it only two we will see what happens tonight when I write it. 
      I would like to get done with this soon I am looking forward to playing it, and to working on more adventures of the Greek and Roman type.  In the next adventure we are going to set boats on fire.  So until next time Keep Gaming.

This week in gaming #3

      While it is already Tuesday so that means that there is one more day of working on the book.
      Wednesday:  This week in Neverwinter I got the story for Spring time.Now it is time to get some monsters to attack the city.  The Broken Arrow orc's.
      Thursday: A day to work on Escape from Cyclops Island. I am hoping that this week I will finish working on the inside of the cave.  Then I can do a small adventure on the way to the docks where they will fight the cyclops. 
      Friday is the Final Dream I.  It is time to put all the goods in the rooms of Level two. 
      The Castle and Crusades is a go, it is happening on the second Saturday of every month, so Next week I will work on that. So until Next time Keep Gaming.

Level 2

      It is Friday so that means it is time to work on The Final Dream I.  I have finished drawing level two, and now it is time to add all the treasure and monsters.I am keeping the wondering monsters that I had for the first time I did this level but looking at my drawing it might turn out that the only thing that will stay the same is Jack and Jill's room.
      I don't know how much more I will get done tonight, but I can tell you all about it when I right tomorrow, after I write Neveragain and edit the podcast, so today it is short but until next time Keep Gaming.

Oh the Colors

      It was to be a day of working on Escape from Cyclops Island.  It turned in to a day of taking care of the family.  So there are really only two things that I want to share today.  1.  I have decided that I am going to make a list of all the paint colors I need and buy them that way.  I am going to work on that when I am done. I am hoping that tomorrow I can order the four female giants that I am going to paint like Alice in Wonderland, so I will need colors to do that. plus all the other giants are stuff.
      Thing number 2.  I need to start planing out my days better then I might not be writing this at 12:30 at night so there you have it until next time Keep Gaming.
