Rooms, Rooms and more Rooms

Monday I was able to do some work on my Dungeons and Dragons 1st edition game.  It was a good day for working, I got from  room six to room four-teen done.
There were two treasure rooms, one was empty, and the other one only had a small amount of treasure.  There were also some guards posts.  The Crowning part of today was the gust room for the royal guests.  There is a private bath in this room, and in the bath is more Green Slime.  The group I play with now will most likely touch this slime even thought the slime in the garden will hurt them pretty good.
Tuesday, I was only able to work on the game for 20 min, but I got to the room where Ice and the Fire Elemental is.  Ice is a frost Man that was kick out of his tribe when he spoke out against joining the Giants.  Hie is evil but is not part of the Army of Darkness.
I once had a group of hero's that took Ice back to the city and helped him start a company in frozen meets, and started him on the path to being a better person.  I know that group playing now will most likely kill him.
There is no working on the game today so tomorrow and Friday will be double time.  So until next time Keep Gamin.

A good game, and some good work

Before we get in today's great Swords and Sorcery game, let's go back to Friday and the work I was able to get done.
I started working on my Neverwinter game at home, that ever goes while because I don't have an office to work in.  I tried to work at home because the kids did not want me to go, but there was just to much going on.  Some day I will be able to get a lot of work done at home, I will be doing more work on Wednesday and Saturday.
So after I left the house so I could get my work done, I started working on my Dungeons and Dragons 1st edition game.  It was time to start keying the first level.  I was able to get five rooms done plus the garden.  The garden is something new that I have added to the Creation this time, there are two monsters in this area.  One is Green Slime, this is going to be fun if the players start touching the stuff at the bottom of the fountain.  The second monster is the is the Otyugh he is hiding in one of the flower pots,
Monday I am suppose to work on my 3.5 game that I wanted to send to Adventureaweek.com, but in order to have it there I have to do both 3.5 and Pathfinder.  I have heard lately all the problems with Pathfinder so I am not sure I want to get into another game, I might just look in to other ways to get my adventures out there now that 3.5 books are being reprinted again.
Today was my Swords and Sorcery game, it was my first game back for almost two months, so there were some thing that I had to get up to date  on.  Then the fun started you can read about it on the Northern Clan blog, which I need to go write so until next time Keep Gaming.

Getting Back to it

Starting on September 23rd, I will  be starting a swing shift at my real job so I will start doing more stuff during the day.  It will be good to get some painting done, and work more on my company.  The kids will also be helping me a little and that will be fun.
I have been playing M14 on the Playstation lately, it is ok.  I wish you could build you own decks, they have a draft game in m14 but you are still limited to what you can do.  I keep telling myself that I am not going to play any more Magic games on the Playstation, and now that I have some other games I will keep to it.
I have also been playing Final Fantasy 7, I loved playing that game when it first came out, and even now I am having a great time with it.  I have to admit I need to spend less time playing these game and more time on my projects no matter how little they are.
I started working on my Neverwinter game again.  I am working on a wizards tower that I am adding to my game.  there are 12 levels to this tower plus on the second level there is a door that leads to 12 more levels on an other plane.  It will be interesting to get back to the game.  The barbarian is going to break down the door, there is a ward right inside the door that he is going to step on it.
It has been hard this week to work on my Dungeons and Dragons 1st edition game, there has been a lot going on with live.  I am hoping that on Saturday I will be able to get some work on it done.  I am finishing the first floor of the King's Castle.  I am changing some things form the first time I wrote it, like the magic weapon and stuff that the party finds.  The first time I wrote this adventure there was a Luck Blade one of the players found, at the end of the game his wish was that all the evil beings were gone.  While until next time Keep Gaming.

Working on Labor day!

Labor day the day to say good job all you hard workers, and yet we all take the day off instead of working hard.  While today I worked on a few things.  I also still have one thing to do if I can get to it.
So today the first thing I did was work on getting my inventory ready, I have a ton to do and it is going kind of slow.  I was hopping to go to a card show this month but I don't think that is going to happen.  This is the only day this week I can work on it,  for Comic con is coming.
The second thing I did today was work on my Dungeons and Dragons 1st edition game. I finished drawing the first level, and started to key it.  I have nine  wondering monsters on this level.  I will have to get back to it next week.  I also will not be able to work on my 3.5 game for once again Comic con is coming.
on 9/3/13 I will be meeting with one of my friends to talk about some art work, so I can get my Kickstarter going soon.  I don't know if I am going to use kickstarter but the reason I am doing it is to get better stuff for my Podcast.   So until next time Keep Gaming.

Thursday and Friday

This week I was able to work on one of my Projects.  It is the first part of my Dungeons and Dragons 1st edition game.
Thursday I created one NPC for the city of Dragonville.  His name is Eric Boggs, a lawful evil fighter.
I kind of got the idea for the name from a high school friend.  Eric Bogdin name I know that Boggs is evil and my fried is not, but it is just a name and we all get ideas from things we have and know.  There is a random encounter table for this encounter to see if some monsters will aid Eric in this fight or if he will die out numbered.
Friday was good, I was able to finish detailing the city.  the Mine and the Farm where the last two things that I needed to get done before I could to the real project of the city.  The castle of King Stonewall.  I am 1/3 of the way done mapping the first level.  I am changing some of the things in the castle and stuff this time, one thing I have add this time is a garden on the first level.  There is going to be an encounter in this room that is not really a room but an area.
It is my goal that on Monday, I will be able to finish mapping the first level, and start detailing it, so until next time Keep Gaming.

Magic

While I need to write one more paper for school, but I don't want to put Google Chrom on my computer when the computers at school have it already.  So due to kind of having a day off I thought I would get some writing done and other things for the business.
So the only D&D that I have right now is Neverwinter, so I will update Neveragain when I am done with this update.  but I think I am going to spend some time to night working on my 1st edition stuff tonight.  I am also going to try and get some of my 3.5 stuff done tomorrow after my paper is done.   I am thinking about looking at a different book everyday or every other day.
Last Friday at work I started playing Magic the Gathering at work with one of my friends, and there are only to more times we can play before he goes back to school.  So on Friday when we played I used my Vampire deck.  I think he  would have won, but I was able to get out the Exquisite Blood, so when ever he lost life I gained that much life.
Yesterday we played two games,  because I was able to kill him fast.  I used my level-up deck witch is blue and white.  so the first game he only started with one land, and I was able to win by turn 5.  The second game took a little longer, he was able to get some creatures out.  We will play again on Thursday, I don't what I am going to use yet but it is going to be fun.
I am really excited it has been reviled that the name of the set that is coming out next month is "Born of the Gods"  it is going to be great.  So until next time Keep Gaming.

Magic, Popcorn, and a Big mess

This coming Saturday the 10th is the M14 Game day tournament.  I have made a deck for it but wont be going, so let's look that the two drafts that I made before I took it a part.  In September I will build a new deck with some of the M14 cards I have.
      Draft 1
Ok so I only have the first draft
  Mountain x10
  Forest x10
  Island x10
  Sensory Deprivation x1
  Glimpse the future x1
  Striking Sliver x1
  Manweft Sliver x1
  Zephyr Charge x1
  Megantic Sliver x2
  Ranger's Guile x1
  Time Ebb x1
  Negate x1
  Enlarge x1
  Rumbling Baloth x1
  Cancel x1
  Verdant Haven x2
  Predatory Sliver x1
  Elixir of Immortality x1
  Ratchet Bomb x1
  Battle Sliver x1
  Coral Merfolk x1
  Elvish Mystic x2
  Into the Wilds x1
  Groundshaker Sliver x1
  Oath the Ancient Wood x1
  Galerider Sliver x1
I once had a Green and White deck that I called Monsters and Migets.  I have been thinking about remaking this deck.  There are many cards in the M14 group I got that would be good for that deck.
There is a game called Pass the Popcorn, it is a  Movie Trivia game.  In the game you get three titles that allow you to guess what the movie is.  The groups are story, quotie, cast and characters.  if you are the first to turn all your titles face down then you win the round.  Once you have gotten to four titles and won the game is over.  It is a really fun game
The last game I want to talk about it called Would you Rather?  I had fun playing this game because I was with family.  That being said I would not buy this game.  There is a lot to be decided as you go and the challenges are not very good.
While there you go Two games and some Magic, it is now time to go write on the Neveragain page so until next time Keep Gaming

Fatheads, Trouble, and

My ability to write is going to be even worse then it is now, I have already started w  orking on my Master's program.  So here we go.
Today I got some fatheads, they are Magic the Gathering.  It was the five main  planeswalkers but they are still cool.  I went to Fathead.com hoping to see more like Sorin but they don't have any.  Still I have two on my laptop, my daughter has one her laptop, and my boy has one over his bed.
While we are on the subject of Magic, there are two things that I am going to share with you because I am excited about the first is artwork for the new set coming out in September.  http://www.examiner.com/article/breathtaking-new-magic-the-gathering-art-from-theros-revealed.  The second is about the game.  http://www.wizards.com/magic/magazine/article.aspx?x=mtg%2Fdaily%2Ffeature%2F257c.
This is where my trouble comes in.  In September Theros comes out, and I am really excited about that, and looking forward to spending money on this, but August the reprint of the White box comes out for Dungeons and Dragons, and that cost $150.  I don 't think I am going to have money for both with comic-con coming as while.
There is now a new podcast up.  It is on I tunes, it is now called Theswamppitw's podcast.  or at http://theswamppitw.libsyn.com/rss.  I am going to do an update podcast soon, and let everyone know whats going on.
While until next time Keep Gaming.

Not So Epic!

This week in Freeport we see are hero life up to his name, NotsoAwsomeman.
Hell in Freeport, By: Jim Bishop, Jess Lebow, and Paul Bazakas.  Published by Green Ronin Publishing.
Last time the fight took damage that could not be healed, so I think this adventure was going to be bad from the get go so to hear the whole story of how Awsomeman died wait until Friday and the podcast will be up on the new host site.
Now that everyone in this game is dead it is time to start a new game.  I am thinking I am just going to make a little something up, in hopes that I get a new player and I can do something I have made.  If not then we will just keep going with what ever.  So until next time Keep Gaming.

M14 and stuff

Let's start with the other stuff first.  I have started working on adventure for Dungeons and Dragons 3.5, there is going to  be more but I am starting with Escape from Cyclops Island.  The idea is that the players were captured by some Cyclops and have to get back home.  I think it is going to be a ton of fun.  My plan is that I am going to send it to Adventure a week.com.
I am at a cross roads, I am starting thinking that I am going to have to give up my Neverwinter game unless my players can either come to my house, or to the game store here in Orem.  Gas is costing way to much to go to Payson.
So now lets get to the Magic the Gathering stuff.  Lets start with the other day when I looked up the Promo cards that they were handing out.  It was the Megantic Sliver,  I thought this was great.  Slivers get +3/+3, that sounds good until it was pointed out to me that it is only Slivers I control.  That is still good but not like that old ones that effect every Sliver.  I only had maybe 5 Slivers in my deck and land was not coming to me the way I needed it too.
Round one my team had the bye.  So we played each other to see how our decks would do.  We were able to play two games in the round.  Game one I was able to win, with the Slivers and some other cards that gave me life and some other things.  Game two John was able to win, I was not able to get any thing, and he just had to much life gain which was the point to his deck.
So with three points for the bye it was all down hill from there we lost the rest of the games.  At one point we were in 5th places, I was happy with that but with two loses at that point we went from 5th to 10th which was not last, but we could have done better.
Now it is time to build a deck for game day.  I am looking at building a blue, and green, and a little red.  I will use my Slivers again and a few other things.  Until Next Time Keep Gaming.

Gods of war Season 2 e5

There were many things I had to go through to get the group going on Tuesday.  I was working until 5:00 so I had to have my wife pick me up but she forgot the Magic cards.  So after getting Casey we had to drive to the Provo Dragon's Keep and tell John we are going to the Orem store.  And once again I was with out the laptop so we are writing about the games again this week.
So I don't know if I said in the last Magic posting that right now the order we are playing decks, is just pick one that you have not yet played.  So I am going in order of what is in one of my boxes.  Let's get to the games.
Game 1: My Sliver deck vs. Casey's Poison Ivy deck (Simic) and John's Koth deck.
This game was easy to get the win, I had to Bonesplitter Slivers and the Fury Sliver so there was not a whole lot the other two could do.  Casey did have some really cool cards in his deck.
Game 2: My Anti-sliver deck, Casey's Poison Ivy, and John played a black, red, blue deck that he made that the Dragon Maze tournament we went to.
I know that this game was not going to go good for me.  I was able to play one card that gave Casey's creature +3/+3 and could not untap, but before I could target and do 12 points of damage to him, John killed the creature.  I might have been able to pull of the upset until John Played Breaking and Entering and got my Dragon, and then when my dragon was gone Casey went in for the kill, wining that game.
Game 3: My White Knights Vs. Casey's 4 color deck, and John's cat deck.  This deck was also an easy win.  John and Casey could not get a lot out, and it is hard to stop flanking if you only have creatures that are 1/1 and don't have flanking.  It also did not help that when I play my Paladin that blows stuff up I choose Green.
After we played these three games, we played a game of Castle Ravenloft.  I don't really like this game, but they have never played it and I was hoping it would be more fun if I played it with people I knew.  While it was more fun, but I can say that I still do not like it a whole lot.
There you have it until next time Keep Gaming.,

Mini's, Tokens, and the game.

Today I have finished writing an article for the website, www.theswamppit.com.  The article is about the cleric, I love playing clerics I don't know why but I am good at it.  But some would believe that the cleric is not a good class.
I will also have to write about the Northern Clan when I am done with this blog.  It was a good game today, we had a new player show up, he is playing the thief.  He seems like a really cool dude.
Now to the topic.  A week or two ago  I bought a new Mini of a Griffen and on the bottom of this Mini it said made in China, and I thought to myself how is it one company able to still make Mini's in China, and an other can not make Mini's in China so they have to go to making Tokens.  I think the answer is company A knows that if they give the fans what they want then there will be money to make Mini's.  company B just wants money so they don't care about the fans, so there is no money to make Mini's.  so there you go.  Some of the tokens are cool and they are going to be good in the Neverwinter game, but you can't paint tokens.  And I have thrown away all the minion tokens because I will never use those.
While that is it for this day, so until next time Keep Gaming.

Some day

It has been more then a day, and maybe some day, I will  be able to write on A Gamer A Day everyday.  but today I will be writing about tonight's Magic the Gathering games, because I was not able make the podcast.  I am just going to take this chance to say that one thing that would help me write every day is more traffic on the website www.theswamppit.com,  and to leave some stars and a review on ITunes.  The podcast is called The Swampcast.
So here we go, we played we played four games, and the only game that was set was the last game in which, I had chosen my Vampire deck so I ask John to play his Vampire deck.  We played these games at a Taco Bell in Riverton, Utah.
Game 1:  John's Green deck vs. my White soldier deck
I played this White deck last week and in the end I did not do any better tonight against this Greed deck.  John's was just able to get his big creatures out faster then I was able to get land.  I had two Jadit Dargoons in my hand but they cost 5 mana, and I only had 4.  I really do need to either look at changing some things or take it apart.
Game 2:  Fast Burn vs. John's Coat of Many Colors
I was able to win this came with the Vulshock Battlemage and the Spikeshot Goblin with a Vulshock Morningstar and a Bonesplitter.
Game 3:  Dragon Maze vs. John's White deck.
I was picking decks by what was the next one in my  box, but I really thing it was time for John to win again so he was going to use his deck that had his Wrath of God like cards so he could blow up all my creatures.  The great thing about my deck is that there are only two or three creatures in it.  When I won, I only had five of the Guildgates so I was not going to wind that way, even though I had maze's end in my hand.  I was able to win with the Door to Nothingness.  John was able to play Hero's Remembered on turn  two and was one turn from playing it.
Game 4:  Dark Nights vs. Vampires
John got his Liliana, and was able to get two lands out  before I did enough damage to her.  I got one Bad Moon, and Marri the Cursed and he did not have any thing to stop my flying so I took him out fast.
So there you have it.  Until next time Keep Gaming.

Hey kid.

Today is the day that I am able to work on my business with out having to stop every 5 min, to take care of the kids or do something else.  So I am at the local game store, when this kid asks if I want to play Magic the Gathering.  I have not started working yet so I said I would play a game  or two.
The first game I play my infect deck.  This boy was did not know about this power even  thought it was only 2 blocks ago.  He was playing a black and white token deck.  I was not able to get anything but land in this game so I lost.  At this he says to me that he doesn't have any Planeswalkers in his deck, but he would really like to have one.  And was hoping I would trade him.  He was looking for a  black, a white, or a black and white one.  I told him I have a black one,  a white one, and a white and black one.
Game 2: His white and black token deck vs. my curse deck.  his tokens were not very strong so once I was able to search for my Curse of Death's Hold it was game over.  I had to get the Curse for Thirst so he would take damage.  He then went into how he need planeswalkers again and so I told him a little more and said that the ones I have are in my decks and I am not taking them out.  so here is what I have.  The prices that I am giving you are from www.cardshark.com
Liliana Vess $6.00
Tibalt, the Fiend-Blooded $2.00
Sorin, Lord of Innistrad  8:00
So Tibalt and Sorin have gone down since I bought them, but you get the point, I am not just going to give away 16.00 dollars.  Plus they all work in my vampire deck.  While it is time to go to bed so until next time Keep Gaming.

Fathers Day Magic.

Fathers Day was good to me.  My wife Pre-Ordered the Dungeons & Dragon came that comes out tomorrow on the Play Station 3.  I am really looking forward to playing that.  I have spent many a coin on The Temple of Doom, and never have beaten it.
So now lets move on to the other part of the day, being able to hang out with some friends for 4 hours playing Magic the Gathering.  I think I played 5 games.  I first 2 games were with my friend John G.  I don't remember what I played in these 2 games but I know I lost.
The third game we played with a new kid.  I used my Red Artifact deck, I thought I was going to win, I could have done damage to both players and kill them at the same time.  Then the new kid played a card that did 7 points of damage to me, and at the start of my turn I took 3 points and that killed my.
The next game was a 6 person game.  I used my Milfolk deck, the problem with this game was I started with only one land hoping I would get more  before I used the 2 cards I had that only took one mana.  it was quick I was out in round three.
The last game was just me and my good friend Mike.  I used my curse deck, and he was using a red and white life gain deck.  it took some time but I was able to come up with the win.  It was good to play and even be able to do it for more then 2 hours.  Fathers Day was good.  Thus ends and other Gamer A Day, so until next time Keep Gaming.

Free RPG Day 2013

It was a good day.  I ran a Castles and Crusades game at the Dragon's Keep in Orem Utah.  The way the Dragon's Keep did it this year is they had each game set up in round robin format, so everyone could try each game.  I only had two people come over and ask me about the game, for the intro rounds  it everyone did Pathfinder, Star Wars, and Shadow Run.  So I was able to write my article for my website that you can ready latter tonight at www.theswamppit.com.
Once the Crypts and Things came was over there were enough people for me to run my game.  A pot Of Broken Bones (& Halfling Broth) by: Brian N. Young.  In this adventure the Premade characters were a Human Mage, a Human Cleric, a Elven Rouge, and a Dwarven Fighter.  In the first group was 3 of the guys from the Crypts and Things game that I play in.  Casey played the Rouge, Niels played the Fighter and Sam played his one Cleric Aku, from the C&C game that we  played.  The other 2 people in the group a husband and wife played the other cleric and the mage.
The adventure starts with the group in the local bar.  Aku and the fighter just enjoy there meal, the rouge try's too sweet talk the maid to give him a discount on the meal.  ( I let it happen, but I learned in the second game that the Rouge was a woman.) and the cleric and mage shared a friendly drinking game.  The cleric won the game, and just after the mage passed out 3 halflings entered the bar.
When this halflings had finished their meal, they approached the hero's this is how it went done.  "Excuse me good sirs and ladies, I come to you with dire news and an offer for employment and good pay if you are willing to help us?  My name is Saffon Speckledbrow, of the famous Speckledbrows of the East Hide and my two friends and I are all that remain from the pilfering and attacks by two trolls just days ago."  The group agreed to help, and the next day they set out.
While traveling the group came to a frozen lake.  They wanted to travel around it because it was only a day and a half extra travel.  but once they started out they found that it was going to take longer, so they came up with a plan to cross the lake.  They would tie a rope around all of them and then go across, Aku had snow shoes that he used.  They were all just about across when the cleric and the rouge fell into the water.  the drawf was got them out easy, and the mage shot off fireworks.  They would not be good for them.  just after coming to shore they were attacked by 6 Winter Wolfs, the mage made them mad because he attacked twice with his Burning Hands so they countered with their breath weapons.  Between the fighter and the magic of the mage, they killed the wolfs but not before some of them took a ton of damage.  One of the halflings was able to find a  very good place to rest for the night.
In the morning the party made it the rest of the way to the hill, the home of the Fram Brothers.  This 60 foot hill has a door and on top  is a tree.  This tree has been twisted and all kinds of bad things have happened to it.  ( I said in the second game that it has been hit by lightning at least twice.)
The cleric had the idea that the rouge should go sneaking in and see what he can see, so he did and in true Casey form when it is his time to shine he rolls a 1 on his check to sneak.  He made some noise but the trolls did not notice.  so the plan became to find a giant rock to cover the door and smoke them out.  (Both groups came up with this plan to smoke them out, but the second group did not cover the door and they used the tree to make the fire and they put it deeper in the cave.  But groups also climbed up on top of the hill to attack when the trolls came out.)
in the first group everyone got an attack of when the trolls came rushing out of the cave,  Then the mage cast Wall of fire so the trolls would have to go through it to attack. once Aku blinded both trolls it was not long for the group to kill the trolls,  when the first one went down the dwarf used his pole hammer to fling the troll in to the wall of fire.  The mage killed the other one with his magic missiles.
The second group was able to follow a different path so they did not have to cross the frozen lake, and they did not have an encounter until the got to Broken Bone Hill.  The best part of this fight was when the rouge said " I want to use my grappling hook to rap round the neck of one of the trolls and then jump off the hill in to the cave and try to pull the troll of the hill in to the Wall of Fire"  He nailed his check and the troll went down.
After the battle with the trolls this group went back in to the cave to explore and see what they could find.  They found the rest of the Halflings in one of the holding cells, and then keep exploring.  They found one more halfling that was going to be cooked for dinner, before the hero's started trying to burn down the cave.  They found a door that did not look like anything else they found in the cave so they opened it.  It was the crypt of the Lich King Erazor and his cults.  the group did a few things and then the rouge and the mage went back to the halfling village, while the fighter and the cleric keep messing around, then finally the cleric left and the fight stayed which was not good for shortly after the cleric left the lich king came to power and he and his followers attack the fighter.  after the second round of fighting the fighter gave himself to the lich king to be one of his followers.  Then the King and his small army attack the halfling village.  the hero's got there turn first and so the mage dropped a fire ball on this army and took out half of them including the fighter.  It did not take long for the hero's to beat the king and his army with the help of a halfling mage.  And thus ends Free RPG day 2013 until next time Keep Gaming.

Some good Games

I need to write about last week, I had things to share with you all, but with the passing of my father, I have not be able to write.  So  lets start with last Sunday.  My family got together for a dinner, and then we got the games out.  First I got some of the boys to play Risk.  It was my brother-in-laws first time to play this game, and he was the last person besides me.
Then it was time to play a new game, and we did not play this game long before it was time to go home.  This game is called Would You Rather.  it looks like a really fun game, and I am hoping to play it  the whole way through.
Now it is time to get ready for Free RPG day tomorrow.  I am running a Castles and Crusades game.  It is going to a ton of fun.  I also need to write an article for my website,  So until next time Keep Gaming.

It's Time

It has been more then a day so I don't know if I can call it A Gamer A Day.  So lets get caught up.  We will start with last Tuesday when Casey and John and I got together, we started by playing magic.  I think we played three games.  Then we Played Hell in Freeport that was fun They group was able to make it to Devil's Cry Island  and then they watched as their mage get killed.  You can hear about the Magic game and the Dungeons and Dragons game on the podcast at www.theswamppit.com and on ITunes.
So I was wrong, before we played Dungeons and Dragons, and Magic.  Casey and I play Crypts and Things last Saturday.  I really like this game, it is a  very simple game that can mess you up if you are in to Black Magic.  I will get in to the deep end on the Northern Clan blog, but we fought some cave men, and the Minotaurs.  I almost died in the end.
So now it is time to write about the Neverwinter game, that took place to night.  There will be more on the Neveragain blog.  But the short of it is that the group I DM for have taken it upon themselves to rid the world of the Red Wizards.  The Druid just about died but the cleric was good to him. So until next time Keep Gaming.

Friday Stuff

So this last weekend started about 11:30, when the posting on the Dragon's Keep Facebook page said we are open all night so come down and hang out.  The reason they were open all night was because there was a 48 hour film fest, and the store was where a group was shooting their film.  I was kind of cool.  I went down to see what was going on and because someone from Orem needed a ride.
When I got there everyone that was playing Magic was either doing a draft, or a sealed game or something like that, so in the end the only person I played was the guy I gave a ride to.  The first game we played I used my Curse Deck, and he used a zombie deck that only had to cards in it, one let him search his deck, and the other one let him make Zombie's.  I was able to win that game.
Games 2-4 we played our elf decks.  We decided it was going to be best 2 out of 3, he won game 1, I was not able to keep up with his tokens that gave his guys +x/+x, so even though I had a wellwisher I could not get enough life.  Game 2 I won, only  because he drew to many cards and was not able to draw the last card he needed to.  And again he game 3 I was not able to keep up with the tokens, so he won that game.  I was able to get that 1 win so it was good for me, plus I won the first game so I will take 50% for the night.
Saturday was a good day for gaming.  I was the Crypts and Things game.  I had a lot of fun in this game. You can find more about this game on the Northern Clan Blog.
Tomorrow will be the podcast for Magic and Dungeons and Dragons game, we are going to be adding a new player to the Dungeons and Dragons game.  Hopefully the players will make it to the gate of Hell.  Listen to The Swamp Cast and see what happens and until next time Keep Gaming.

Your wizard has gained a level

Today I leveled up my barbarin, and Casey's fighter for  the Crypts and Things game.  It was really simple, all you had to do was roll hit dices and change your saving throw.  I think it for this game only one saving throw unlike other games.  like in Dungeons and Dragons 3.5 where you have skills, feats, and three saving throws.  that is it for this day so until next time keep gaming.
