3rd ANNUAL SMG PODCAST MARATHON ANNOUNCES LINE-UP FOR OCT. 7
Elgin, IL Sept 13, 2017 – Southgate Media Group is holding it’s third annual podcast marathon live at the Blue Box Café in Elgin, IL. The marathon will be 13 hours long, featuring 20+ shows covering a wide variety of topics starting at 8am and running until 9pm. Topics range from geek news to feminist TV, from Harry Potter to food, and also movies, gaming, horror , and more. New to this year’s line up is long time fan favorite Mugglecast, TV herstory, and Caffeinated Comics, plus some popular shows from Southgate Media Group’s network of indie podcasts.
“We are so excited to bring back the SMG Podcast Marathon for it’s third year. As much work as this is, we excited look forward to the marathon each year. There is nothing better than indie podcasts performed live with great food and coffee,” said Rob Southgate, co-founder and executive director of the SMG Podcast Marathon.
Martha and Rob, along with the Blue Box Café, have organized a 13 hour podcast marathon that will include not only podcasts from Southgate Media Group but also other podcasts that are based in the Chicagoland area and beyond.
As always, the focus of the marathon is to shine a light on indie podcasts, celebreate creativity, and to create a diverse, all inclusive safe place to geek out about one’s passions.
The Southgate Media Group Podcast Marathon will be held on October 7th, 2017 from 8 am to 9pm at the Blue Box Café in Elgin, IL.
