The Lake County Film Festival is back for its milestone 15th edition, bringing an extraordinary lineup of independent films to Northern Illinois. Taking place September 4–7 and September 12–15, 2025, the festival will screen 134 films, including 17 feature-length movies and more than 120 short films from around the world.

For two weekends in September, cinephiles can immerse themselves in bold, independent voices and visionary storytelling. Screenings will be held primarily at the College of Lake County in Grayslake, with additional programming at the Gorton Center in Lake Forest.

A Showcase of Independent Cinema

The 2025 Lake County Film Festival continues its tradition of spotlighting diverse stories and unique perspectives.
