Before the questions start, let's clarify a few things.
This is not a paid opportunity. There are no royalties. All co-authors are volunteer contributors. No one will receive free books so we're all in the same boat. We are self-publishing this so we can't afford to give away copies. That also means you can sell books like you’re the boss. You can buy the books at the same cost we do and can sell them as you like and you keep the profit. Example, the cost to purchase a book may be $4, we will then sell the book for $16. You can sell the book for this same price or offer a discount if you want. Keep in mind, you get to keep the profits of what you sell. Also, you will have to pay shipping or charge your customer if its not an in person transaction.
It’s not required that anyone purchase a single copy. Some will want to contribute and not even own it themselves, others will be selling machines and order them by the case. It’s all up to you. Of course we hope you buy at least a copy for yourself but you really don’t have any obligation to at all.
As we get further into this, we’ll discuss ways to sell and promote. You can also market the books and sell them through any outlet you have (social media, podcasts, meet-ups, etc). Having a book is like having a calling card. It can open doors and help cement you as an expert.
