That’s why it is so surprising that different portions of his origin contain such darkness to them.
While Batman and Nightwing came from hugely different families, their original motivations were the same, to stop crime so that no one else would suffer the way they did.
So Superman is getting a new suit.
When rebirth launched we got a new Superman with his own distinct look.
With this being the end of 2016 here are my picks of some of the best books DC Comics put out in 2016.
This book is the symbol of DC returning to it’s former greatness made real.
Not only has Tim Seeley honored the legacy of NIghtwing but added his own spin to what makes this hero so great.
Mr Seeley is able to blend the character’s lighthearted nature with a touch of darkness that most street level comics characters seem to have these days in new, fresh ways.
But since Tim told his girlfriend Stephanie Brown he plans to quit soon to go to college, the internet exploded with the rumor that Tim is about to die.
Tim hits the road to find his destiny but quickly disappears in a flash of light.
In my opinion the Red Hood we see in this book is the best interpretation we've seen since the New 52, maybe the best ever.
I think Jason has matured a little but still kept his edge.
This book may be the closest you’ll get to reading classic DC Comics of the past but still staying modern and relevant.
They've struck a great balance between the classic elements of their characters with a fresh, modern take.
He is everything Batman could be if the Dark Knight let go of some of his pain and tried to make a life for himself away from the mask but still remain a hero.
He’s the hero we would want to be, or at least the one we’d want to be friends with.
