Wizard World Columbus 2017: Day Two Photos

As expected, Wizard World Comic Con Columbus 2017 was all kinds of busy on Saturday at the Greater Columbus Convention Center, with David Tennant, Catherine Tate, John Barrowman, Elizabeth Henstridge, Emma Caulfield, Nicholas Brendon, and a few others signing autographs and posing for pictures with fans.

Even with a pretty slim selection of comic book dealers and very few big name comic book creators, Saturday's attendance was all kinds of heavy.  I did some hardcover collection shopping, picked up a hell of a bargain on a great copy of The Flash (vol.1) #145 (Just $27!!!), and of course, got more great cosplay photos.

Here are some of my photos from Day Two...

X-23 and her younger Laura self

Aquaman from the DC Extended Universe.  I can dig it.

David Tennant tells an anecdote of how he can run faster than John Barrowman

The Thirteenth Doctor is here and it's about time!

John Barrowman quips "I have to say, I prefer things that are bigger on the inside."

Unfortunately, once again, there's not enough comic dealers or celebrity guests to justify attending Day Three this year, but if you'd like to see more pics from Wizard World Columbus, I've set up an album on my Facebook page HERE.  See you next year!

Wizard World Columbus 2017: Day One Photos

The first day of Wizard World Columbus 2017 inside the Greater Columbus Convention Center was pretty subdued.  Even though most people seem to be attending only on Saturday, there was a decent-sized crowd for what was essentially half a day at another typically overpriced Wizard World convention.  There were only a few celebrities around -- Barry Bostwick and Lou Ferrigno to name a couple -- so I spent most of the afternoon taking advantage of the smaller crowd to plug holes in my comic book collection.

As always, I managed to get some photos from inside the convention...Hope you enjoy them!

Caliban from the movie Logan

John Constantine flashes his business card (for reals).  He really should change it from Master of the Dark Arts to Petty Dabbler 'cause he hates to put on airs.

Great Scott!  It's Barry Bostwick from The Rocky Horror Picture Show!

W is for Wonder Woman and Wild Dog

It's bad enough that John Wick's dog was killed, but stuffing it into his suit pocket?

Wizard World Columbus 2016: Day Two Photos

Wizard World Comic Con Columbus 2016 was all kinds of busy today at the Greater Columbus Convention Center, with James Marsters, Nicholas Brendon, Robert Patrick, Mitch Pileggi, Kevin Sorbo and a few others signing autographs and posing for pictures with fans.

Even with another pretty embarrassing celebrity guest roster and the lack of major comics creators, Saturday attendance was still pretty heavy.  I did some more bargain hunting, picked up a great copy of Doctor Strange (vol.1) #1, and of course, got a lot of great cosplay photos.

Here are some of my photos from Day Two...

Out of the 21 Suicide Squad Harley Quinns I spotted this year, this one was my favorite.

James Marsters, a.k.a. Spike, Brainiac and Captain John Hart

The Fourth Doctor takes K-9 out for walkies

My favorite pic from Day Two -- Darth Vader and his grandson Kylo Ren on vacation

Furiosa from Mad Max: Fury Road.  Nope, there's no way I'm gonna mess with her.

Wizard World Columbus 2016: Day One Photos

The first day of Wizard World Columbus 2016 inside the Greater Columbus Convention Center was a warm and muggy affair.  With most comic creators biding their time until the Cincinnati Comic Expo, there was a good-sized crowd for what was essentially half a day at another rather overpriced Wizard World convention.  I only spotted a few of the celebrity guests -- Nichelle Nichols, Sam Jones and Amy Jo Johnson -- but I made my major purchase of the first issue to Marvel's original Star Wars series, along with a bunch of classic and modern era Suicide Squad.

And yes, I managed to get some photos from inside the convention...Enjoy!

Mary Marvel or Sexy Captain Marvel.  You make the call.

Nichelle Nichols.  Legend.

Genderbend Joker was my favorite cosplay from Day One

Wizard World Columbus 2015: Day Two Photos

Wizard World Comic Con Columbus 2015 was all kinds of busy today at the Greater Columbus Convention Center, with William Shatner, Mike Tyson, Dave Bautista, Michael Rooker, Emily Kinney, and others signing autographs and posing for pictures with fans. Sadly, David Ramsey was a no-show.

Even with a pretty flimsy celebrity guest roster and the lack of major comics creators, there was still a surprisingly heavy Saturday attendance.  I did some more bargain hunting, picked up a great Constantine t-shirt, and of course, got a lot of great cosplay photos.

Here are some of my photos from Day Two...

The Batman v Superman Batman armor starts off Day Two

Emily Kinney (Beth from Walking Dead, The Bug-Eyed Bandit on The Flash)

Genderbending Marty McFly is all dressed for 2015

Nebula from Guardians of the Galaxy is probably hunting Dave Bautista and Michael Rooker

See?  Melissandre brought Jon Snow back from the dead for Game of Thrones Season 6

Unfortunately, I won't be able to attend Day Three this year, but if you'd like to see more pics from Wizard World Columbus, I've set up an album on my Facebook page HERE.  See you next year!

Wizard World Columbus 2015: Day One Photos

It was an unseasonably warm first day at the Wizard World Comic Con Columbus 2015 inside the Greater Columbus Convention Center.  Even though most comic creators are down at the Cincinnati Comic Expo this weekend, there was a decent-sized crowd for what was essentially half a convention day at a rather overpriced convention.  On a personal level, I scored some serious bargains on two early Frank Miller Daredevil issues with Bullseye, and a few early issues of Marvel's original Star Wars series.  Oh, and I splurged on a big bunch of dollar bin comics to fill some gaps in my collection.

And yes, I managed to get some photos from inside the convention...Enjoy!
